| Exactly ten years ago, in 1997, porn director
Chi Chi LaRue released his perverse epic Link, with the, at the time,
huge cast of eighteen horny studs. Link is an evocation of a sex club
where bears, bodybuilders, daddies, as well as college freshmen give the beast
in themselves free rein and have their fling in the pleasures of glory holes,
golden showers, bondage, dildos (and not the smallest ones), threesomes, and
several other expressions of kinky lust. |
Link turned out to be a great success and was followed two years later
by Link 2 Link and in 2000 by The Final Link. This “finale”
with thirty-two actors proved to be a semifinal, however, since after The
Final Link was made, the director realized “that my sexual exploration
had not stopped and there were things still missing from the Link series;
themes and ideas that hadn’t been tapped.” And so “The Missing Link”
was released in 2001, in which thirty-six men indulge themselves in nine
scenes in all imaginable forms of rough sex: gang bangs, orgies, uniform
fetishism, interracial splurges, penis pumping and an overwhelming variety
of ass play.However, Chi Chi’s perverse fantasies were still not depleted and this year Link 5: The Evolution appeared, a kinky extravaganza of eight and a half hours (in the Director’s Cut), in which your wildest dreams come true, such as the scene in which Steve Carlisle and Josh Weston, wrapped from head to toe in black plastic, hang in a freezer like pieces of meat just waiting to be used. They are freed from their perilous position with a meat cleaver by Manuel Torres, but only to be entirely at the mercy of Torres’s lust. After he has fucked both of them, Torres decides to haul their asses over the coals with monstrous dildos and his fists. |

| Or the scene in which Lex Sabre is discovered
lying naked in a pile of leather boots by officer Ken Browning, who first
ties him to a chair to heat him. As Lex gets a raging hardon, Browning turns
him into a human fuck toy for his use and pleasure, before he fucks himself
with his nightstick to show Lex how a real man takes it. And then there is
the scene in which the charming Tommy Blade has his fling with his bootblack
fantasies, or the beer splurge with Tyler Tiggz, Cole Ryan and Blake Nolan,
who are cruising one another amongst a labyrinth of machinery while drinking
cold beers. It doesn’t take long before they start pouring beer over each
other, thereby soaking their jeans and increasing their lust. As a result
a hot three-way results, in which Cole is the bottom boy, letting the muscle
daddies take turns fucking his face and ass. And just when he thinks they
are finished with him, they flip him upside down and fuck his ass with the
bottles and give him a beer enema. |
This is just a small selection of the many perversities in Link 5: The
Evolution, but apparently they are too excessive for some, since there
is also a shortened version of this production in which the piss sex and fisting
scenes are removed, and is therefore, according to the European distributor,
“particularly appropriate for Switzerland.” Possibly the Swiss are an extremely
virtuous people, because I think that those who enjoy this kind of kinky porn
productions won’t be shocked by a golden shower or some heavy fisting. It
is therefore a pity that the book Bruno Gmünder published on the occasion
of the release of Link 5: The Evolution doesn’t contain hardcore action
stills but only glamorous nude pictures of the actors. But this book is still
a delectable warm-up if you don’t feel up to plunge into eight and a half
hours of perverse viewing pleasure. |

series, the Director’s Cuts of all five movies were released this year which
contain commentary by Chi Chi LaRue and uncensored footage not included in
the other versions. |
Those who have followed LaRue’s career over the past twenty years know that
he is not only interested in kinky porn. In an interview which was published
on the website Eros-ny.com in January this year, he said that he was working
on a production called Sun Soaked, about “Boys in Speedos - water,
water, water! Sun-worshiping Gods!” For those who are interested in the more
innocent part of Chi Chi’s oeuvre, the luxurious photo book Smut was
published almost simultaneously with Link. This volume can be regarded
as a sequel to Warning from 2005. In this book, house photographer
Greg Thompson has portrayed Chi Chi’s stars as real stars - stars who brazenly
show their physical assets, but stars nonetheless. La LaRue observes in a
short introduction that “the word ‘smut’ means a lot of things to a lot of
different people. The dictionary defines it as pornography... Bible-thumpers
and right-wing hypocrites point their fingers and call it obscene... [...]

the photos showcased in this book define the word perfectly. They are beautiful,
glamorous, sexy, intriguing, alarming, tempting, filthy, sultry, seductive,
and yes, a little bit dirty too. Just the way I like it.” Well, what can your
humble reviewer add when the master has spoken? A gorgeous hot book for a
cold winter night, perhaps? Buy it and judge for yourself! |
